HOW DO I APPLY FOR AN UNDERGRADUATE / POSTGRADUATE COURSE?

For an undergraduate course, you will need an application pack from UCAS. We are unable to consider direct applications to undergraduate programmes.

For a postgraduate course, you will need to complete an application form that is available from any one of the following sources:

  • Apply on-line for free, using our on-line application service
  • Alternatively you may request an application pack to be sent to you for either a taught or research course from our Recruitment Office or call 00 44 (0)1784 443399.
  • Download a copy of our application form direct from our website.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

For details of the current tuition fees please visit our Financial Information page. For information about instalments of please visit the Enrolment pages.

We cannot advise students about living expenses as costs will vary according to accommodation, the course and personal expenses. As a guide, your budget should include expenses for tuition fees, accommodation, groceries and course requirements (books etc). In addition, you should allocate funds for your social life. For guidance, you should contact your Bank's student advisor, who will be able to help you prepare a budget.

CAN I APPLY FOR A SCHOLARSHIP?

Undergraduates: If the department has made you either an unconditional or conditional offer, the Admissions Office will send you a welcome pack that includes a funding guide, a downloadable copy is also available here. Included in this booklet are scholarship application forms. These should be completed and returned to the Admissions Office by the relevant deadline in order to be considered for an award. Applications received after this time may not be considered. If you have any other queries please contact the Admissions Office.

Postgraduates: You should indicate on your application that you wish to be considered for a departmental scholarship in the funding section. All postgraduate scholarships are awarded by the departments themselves. For further details please visit the Funding Postgraduate Studies page or contact the departments directly. For advice regarding AHRB and other funding bodies, please contact Dr Francesca Chiarelli, the Postgraduate Administrator in Registry Liaison.

WHAT IS AN ACADEMIC TRANSCRIPT?

Postgraduate students should include with their application an official academic transcript. This is an official document from your last institution that illustrates your degree results or current grades. This needs to bear an official stamp from your university. Unfortunately, your own summary of your grades, such as you would document on a CV, is not acceptable.

ORDER AN ACADEMIC TRANSCRIPT

The facility to order transcripts and former student certifying letters on-line is available at: http://www.rhul.ac.uk/registry/Examinations/transcripts.html
