Adam O’Riordan (2004-5 and current PhD student): first collection, In the Flesh, to be published in July 2010 (Chatto & Windus).

Allison McVety (2006-7): second collection, Miming Happiness, to be published in May 2010; first collection, The Night Trotsky Came to Stay (Smith/Doorstep, 2009) shortlisted for Forward Best First Collection Prize, 2008.

Joe Treasure (2004-5): second novel, Besotted, to be published in March 2010 (Picador); first novel, The Male Gaze, published in 2007 (Picador).

Mrylin A. Hermes (2004-5): novel, The Lunatic, the Lover and the Poet, published in the US in January 2010 (Harper Perennial).

Penny Rudge (2006-7 and current PhD student): first novel, Foolish Lessons in Life and Love, published in January 2010 (Abacus); TV rights optioned by independent producer.

Sam Riviere (2005-6): selected for Faber & Faber New Poets Scheme (pamphlet to be published in 2010); Eric Gregory Award, 2009.

Polly Atkin (2005-6): pamphlet, Bone Song, shortlisted for inaugural Michael Marks Award for Poetry Pamphlets, 2009.

Liz Berry (2007-9): Eric Gregory Award, 2009.

Jacqui Hazell (2007-9): shortlisted for The Jane Austen Short Story Competition 2009; story published in Dancing with Mr Darcy anthology, October 2009 (Honno).

Robert Selby (2006-7): several poems published in the TLS; 'The Baptism of the Bull' shortlisted for the 2008 TLS Poetry Competition.

Christine Webb (2007-9): poem, 'Inside the Mirror' selected by Carol Ann Duffy for her Poetry Corner in the Daily Mirror (November 2008).

Tahmima Anam (2004-5): first novel, A Golden Age, published in 2007 (John Murray) and awarded the Commonwealth Literary Prize for Best First Book (2008).
