Dr Alister Miskimmon is Senior Lecturer in European Politics/International Relations. Alister is a member of the Department of Politics and International Relations and Co-Director of the Centre for European Politics. He is a graduate of the University of Stirling and completed a PhD thesis at the Institute for German Studies, European Research Institute, University of Birmingham. Alister joined Royal Holloway in September 2002. |

Anne Pym is the European Studies Co-ordinator/Adminstrator. She is the lynchpin of the whole operation, responsible for the day-to-day administration of the degree and acts as the main point of contact and source of information about the degree. She liaises with all the tutors on the degree and all the departments in which students take courses. She is also the Academic Co-ordinator, Departmental Timetabler, Examinations Representative and Special Needs Advisor. Annie has been at Royal Holloway since 1992 and has considerable experience not only of the European Studies Programme but also the workings of the College. She is therefore well placed to advise you on a range of issues. Her office hours will be posted on the office door. |

Dr James Sloam joined the Politics and International Relations Department at Royal Holloway in September 2005. He was previously a lecturer in European Studies at King's College, London and an honorary research fellow at the European Research Institute, University of Birmingham, where he co-ordinated projects on policy transfer in East Central Europe and Youth Participation in democracy. His principle areas of interest are German and European Social Democracy, British and German Foreign Policy, Political Parties, and Youth Participation in Democracy. James is Co-Director of the Centre for European Politics. |
