1.1 College Entry Requirements

Everyone who receives an offer of a place on a course at the College will receive a letter from the Admissions Office, or for some language courses, from the Language Centre. This offer letter will detail which course you have been accepted to attend. In many cases this letter will specify additional requirements, which you must meet in order to enrol at the College. This may include the successful completion of a foundation course, particular A-Level results or the completion of an undergraduate degree programme. It is therefore very important that you read your offer letter carefully and ensure that you have understood all of the conditions, which are included.

If English is not your first language, you will be required to provide evidence of your level of English language before being given admission to Royal Holloway. We normally ask students to take either an IELTS or TOEFL test, although other English language examinations are also accepted.

In some cases you may also be required to provide original or authorised copies of certificates relating to your previous academic qualifications. Certificates should forwarded to the Admissions Office as soon as possible for verification. (Unauthorised photocopies will not be accepted).

You will be asked to supply evidence that you have met all of the conditions included in your offer letter before you will be allowed to register at the College. It is therefore, very important that you have documentation to show you have met all of these requirements before you leave your home country. If you have any questions about the conditions of your offer or the documentation required, you should contact the Admissions Office at admission@rhul.ac.uk.
