Access to Learning Fund

The Access to Learning Fund is a discretionary fund from the government to help UK students with additional financial need.  If you have received your maximum entitlement of student loan, you may be eligible for extra funding through the Access to Learning Fund.  Applications will be considered throughout the academic year, whilst funds are still available.  Please note assistance cannot be given towards tuition fees.

Priority groups for consideration

• Mature students
  
• Students with childcare costs
  
• Disabled students
  
• Students from a low-income background are given priority.

How to apply

1. Read the guidance notes.
2. Complete the application form.
3. Arrange for your personal adviser to complete the reference.
4. Ensure you have photocopies of all the supporting documents as required.
5. Contact your Student Financial Adviser to make an appointment.
