Entry Requirements: Applicants should normally have a first or upper second class honours degree in sociology or a related discipline, or in an interdisciplinary field with substantial social science content. Students not meeting these requirements, but with appropriate professional experience, will be considered on an individual basis and may be required to take an assessed reading course before entry. Informal enquiries to the Course Director about eligibility are welcomed.
Funding: The MSc in Medical Sociology is recognised by the ESRC on a 1+3 basis. Details of eligibility can be provided on request.
Application Procedure: You can apply at any time for entry in the following September. However, if you wish to be considered for an ESRC award, we recommend applying no later than the end of February.
Apply online: Click here to apply online using the College e-form submission process (opens in new window).
Further Graduate Study: The Department of Health and Social Care is also host to a sizeable number of PhD students, a significant number of whom are undertaking their doctoral degrees in medical sociology. Further information can be requested from Professor Gabe at j.gabe@rhul.ac.uk.
