Sigrun M. Wagner joined the School of Management in September 2009 as a teaching fellow in Strategy and International Business. Besides her post at Royal Holloway, Sigrun is currently completing her PhD at Loughborough University Business School where she gained teaching experience at postgraduate and undergraduate level (Cross-Cultural Management, Strategic Management, Business Analysis).
She holds a BA in European Studies from the University of Osnabrück (Germany) and an MSc in International Management from Loughborough University. Her doctoral research focuses on corporate political activities of MNEs in the EU, specifically in the area of environmental regulations for the automotive industry.
Sigrun has presented and participated at various International Business conferences (Europe and UK) and won the Neil Hood and Stephen Young Prize for Most Original New Work at the AIB UKI conference (Academy of International Business, UK and Ireland chapter), in Portsmouth, March, 2008, for her doctoral paper presentation.
In 2006, she spent two months as Research Fellow at the German Institute for Public Affairs in Berlin. Prior to starting her PhD she gained work experience in Brussels in a policy consultancy.
