INTRODUCTION

The BA (Hons) Media Arts offers a unique degree programme combining in equal measure theoretical analysis of the screen arts with practical courses exploring the creative, expressive and communicative potential of sound and moving images. Our students combine analytical study with practical production, beginning by working in teams and moving on to individual creative work in many fields. The course focuses on the study of film, television and digital arts and takes a culturally diverse perspective.

Combinations of formal lectures, small group teaching and individual tutorials allow students to benefit from close daily contact with our staff who are internationally recognised for their expertise in their subject areas. Our Media Arts degree provides students with solid analytical skills and enables them to work creatively in a wide range of fields, preparing them for an ever-changing career in the media industry.
