Lecturer (Clinical Tutor), Doctorate in Clinical Psychology

Salary for the post is in the range of 38,849 to £45,974 pa inclusive of London Allowance, plus market supplement.

We are looking to appoint a lecturer to the DClinPsy Programme at Royal Holloway University of London.   The DClinPsy Programme is an expanding programme within the Psychology Department at Royal Holloway, with 11 academic staff, 4 administrative staff and a current intake of 28 trainees per year. 

The appointment would suit someone interested in pursuing a broad and varied career in clinical psychology training.  The person appointed will contribute to the running of a wide range of aspects of the doctorate, such as teaching, research supervision, visiting placements and trainee support and development. The main administrative responsibility for the post involves a clinical tutor role in coordinating placements and developing trainees’ clinical competences. There are also substantial opportunities for you to develop their own research interests within a supportive research environment.  Those appointed full-time will be expected to work in the NHS for one day per week.  The post is open to applicants from the full range of clinical backgrounds.

Applicants interested in a full-time position are preferred but we are also interested in applicants wishing to pursue a part-time appointment (0.6 minimum). This is a permanent post.

Salary is based on academic scales plus a supplement to make the salaries comparable to NHS rates (ranging from 8A through 8B Agenda for Change Scales).
