How to Apply
Application Process for 2010/2011
Information about the 2010/2011 application process will be updated regularly as details are confirmed. Please consult the relevant category (below) for further information.
Students may apply for accommodation via the 'Online Application Process' for Royal Holloway owned and managed housing. In order to understand the process, please read below and select the category that fits you.
Application Fee (New Students only):
All new students requesting Student Housing in Halls of Residence will be required to pay a non-refundable application fee of £150.00. The application fee will form a down-payment on the Student Housing bill for the first term. The payment should be made using the secure, online card payment facility within the 'Apply for Student Housing' process.
College Student Housing will only be allocated on receipt of both an online Student Housing application and a Student Housing application fee of £150.
Categories
1. UG New Students: (open for 2010/11) If you are applying to start a new programme of study at Royal Holloway at undergraduate level, or if you are applying to do the Science Foundation Year (SFY) programme, or if you are an undergraduate who is intending to do a 'Pre-sessional English Language Programme (PELP) please select this category.
UGNEW - Late, Insurance & Clearing Applicants : For students in this category, a limited number of hall places (mostly shared places) may become available during August & September, before the start of the new academic year. Therefore, if you wish to be considered for this, you will have to apply online as soon as you have firmly accepted an offer of study. Your online application will be held on a waiting list. However, if you do not wish to remain on our waiting list, you can seek alternative accommodation in the private sector.
2. PG New Students: (open for 2010/2011) If you are applying to start a new programme of study at Royal Holloway at postgraduate level, or if you are a postgraduate who is intending to do a Pre-sessional English Language Programme (PELP) please select this category. Please find here information on Couples/Family accommodation.
For those applying after our deadlin, a limited number of hall places may become available during August, therefore, if you wish to be considered for this, your online application will be held on a waiting list. However, if you do not wish to remain on our waiting list, you can seek alternative accommodation in the private sector.
3. Returning/Continuing Students: (open for 2010/11) If you are an undergraduate or postgraduate student who is continuing a programme of study at Royal Holloway please select this category.
4. Royal Holloway International : (open for 2010/11) If you are applying to study on one of the following Language programmes please select this category. Study Abroad with Academic English (SAAE), University Foundation Programme (UFP), Pre-Masters Diploma for International Students (PDIS). If you are a Pre-sessional English Language Programme (PELP) student please follow the 'UG New Students' or 'PG New Students' link as appropriate.
5. Visiting Students: (opening 7th June 2010 at 12.00pm 2010/11) If you are applying to study at Royal Holloway as a Visiting, Study Abroad Programme, Erasmus or International Exchange student, please select this category.
