Chaplaincy Talk: "Zion's Christian Soldiers": Christian Fundamentalism and the Middle East Crisis

The Chaplaincy Talk, by Reverend Dr Stephen Sizer, "Zion's Christian Soldiers": Christian Fundamentalism and the Middle East Crisis, will take place at Royal Holloway, University of London, in the Main Lecture Theatre on Wednesday 20 October at 5.30pm.

The lecture will examine the historical roots and political influence of Christian fundamentalists on the Israeli-Palestinian issue. Dr Stephen Sizer is Reverend of Christ Church in Virginia Water. He is chairman of the International Bible Society UK and a trustee of several charities working for justice and peace in the Middle East. His academic research examines the historical roots, theological basis and political consequences of Christian support for Israel.

The lecture will be followed by a reception in the Senior Common Room (SCR) in the Founder's Building.
