Latest Update: Wednesday 13 January 14.45
Snow clearing is continuing and the main road through the campus is open to traffic in both directions. The upper level of Car Park 4 is now usable, and there’s additional car parking on the Hockey pitch. The bus services to Kingswood, Huntersdale and Egham station are all running.
All three libraries are open and we expect them to remain open for evening hours - Founder’s and Bedford until 23:00, and the Music Library until 20:00. We are expecting the campus to be open tomorrow, unless weather conditions deteriorate.
The weather, roads and public transport situations are of course always changing, so please do check forecasts and transport advice before travelling to and from campus.
Update: Wednesday 13 January 10:30
We have had to close the sloping road between the Windsor building and the Students’ Union again for further clearance and hope to reopen from approx. 11:30. There is additional parking at the hockey pitches. All three libraries are open and we currently expect them to be open this evening – further updates this afternoon.
Update for staff and students: Wednesday 13 January 08:30
Following an overnight snowfall of around 2 inches, our estates team is again clearing main routes on campus and the College will be open today. The area around Founder’s and upper car parks are accessible, and the main campus road between the Windsor building and the Students’ Union is currently being cleared and will be open from approx. 09:30. The lower halls of residence are currently not accessible by car, and these routes will be cleared later in the day. We will update you further as the situation changes.
Travel conditions are difficult so please take care on the roads, check travel information, do not take unnecessary risks and use public transport where possible.
