The Choir performing in the Windsor Auditorium
On Thursday 15th March Principal Paul Layzell welcomed over 140 alumni, friends and parents of students to the Windsor Building for an evening celebrating the achievements made possible by their kind support. During the reception in the Foyer, the Royal Holloway Philharmonic serenaded attendees with Schubert’s 5th Symphony while attendees enjoyed a light reception and the company of Annual Fund Callers as well as beneficiaries from across the College.
As well as an impressive performance by the Choir attendees were treated to a unique insight into the Dark Matter Research underway in the Physics Department from Dr Jocelyn Monroe. This year we were also delighted to be joined by Margaret Chadderton (English, Royal Holloway College, 1963) who spoke passionately about why giving to the College is important to her (read more about Margaret by clicking here|) The Principal provided an update of the many exciting projects that we’ve been able to support thanks to the kindness of our donors as well as the other ways in which alumni are continuing to help current students be it through work placements or careers talks.
