Skills acquired from your degree:

Students will gain the following skills through the European Studies core courses, the advanced study of languages and the advanced study of Social Sciences:

• Knowledge and understanding of the development, working, policies and limitations of European institutions

• Knowledge and understanding of the major social, political and economic trends in Europe, especially integration

• Linguistic competencies in at least one of the following languages: French, German, Italian, or Spanish

• The experience of living and either studying or working for a year in the country of your chosen language(s)

• Knowledge and understanding of the major concepts, theories, methodologies and literature of at least one Social Science and how to apply this to the empirical setting of Europe
