The Department of Classics, in conjunction with the Department of Politics and International Relations, would like to invite you to the inaugural lecture on Philosophy, Politics and Education: The Significance of Plato’s Gorgias followed by a reception on 24th January 2013.
Hosted by Professor Anne Sheppard, this lecture discusses the views presented in Plato's dialogue, the way in which they were interpreted by Neoplatonists and the significance of this work to modern day society.
