Bursaries

Royal Holloway has a range of generous bursaries and scholarships available to Clearing entrants who meet the eligibility criteria.

 

Standard Bursaries

£750 per year for each year of undergraduate study

These Bursaries will be awarded to all full-time students from England and Wales who have a household income of £39,333 or less, and who will be in receipt of a full or partial Government Maintenance Grant for the year of study. The Bursaries will be awarded automatically to all qualifying students.

Royal Holloway Excellence Scholarships

£500 per year for each year of undergraduate study

Royal Holloway Excellence Scholarships will be awarded to all full-time students from England and Wales who have a household income of £39,333 or less, and who will be in receipt of a full or partial Government Maintenance Grant for the year of study AND who achieve 340 UCAS tariff points (grades AAB at GCE A2-level) in those specific subject elements of their academic qualifications which are specified in their Royal Holloway Clearing acceptance as requirements for admission for their programme of study at the College.

A Royal Holloway Excellence Scholarship may not be held in conjunction with another College scholarship. It may, however, be held in conjunction with the Standard Bursary. The Royal Holloway Excellence Scholarships will be awarded automatically to all qualifying students.

Access Entry Bursary

£500 per year for each year of undergraduate study

Access Entry Bursaries will be awarded to all full-time students from England and Wales who will be in receipt of a full or partial Government Maintenance Grant for the year of study AND who achieve a QAA-recognised Access to Higher Education Diploma.  Students must have gained entry to their undergraduate degree programme on the basis of achievement of a QAA-recognised Access to Higher Education Diploma.

An Access Entry Bursary may not be held in conjunction with a College scholarship. It may, however, be held in conjunction with the Standard Bursary. Access Entry Bursaries will be awarded automatically to all qualifying students.
