RHUL's Ann Varty (Head of English) will be one of the panellists on the Sunday, which focusses on the rich history of the West End and TRH. Also, there will be a lunchtime reception to launch the new book, The Making of The West End by Drama's research Professor Jacky Bratton, introduced by Professor Peter Bailey (University of Manitoba). Academics from across the Uk will be giving papers and John Earl, the leading expert on theatre buildings will be the afternoon's guest speaker.
The focus for Monday will be on the present and future of the West End. Details of speakers to be announced but the day will include RHUL's Dr Karen Fricker who will chair a roundtable discussion with theatre makers, producers, playwrights and critics.
