Community Matters

Royal Holloway, University of London is situated between the small town of Egham and the village of Englefield Green, close to London and the small sizes of the local communities makes the College a relaxed and peaceful place to study.   Community relations are extremely important to the College and we are keen to help wherever possible.  We seek to be a good neighbour by contributing fully to the local economy, by supporting local causes with student volunteer help, by encouraging our students to behave considerately in the local area and by encouraging close attention to crime-prevention.

Please read our Be A Good Neighbour Guide| for more information.

The Students' Union have also produced a Community Strategy (2011-12)|

The College Community Liaison and Support Office works closely with our external partners at Surrey Police Safer Neighbourhood teams, Runnymede Borough Council Environmental Protection, and Safer Runnymede over reports of noise nuisance and anti-social behaviour involving students.  We encourage residents to report concerns about student behaviour to the Community Liaison & Support Office and also to our external partners where appropriate.
