Disabled students
Royal Holloway, University of London warmly welcomes disabled students and is committed to providing professional quality services and support.
The Educational Support Office (ESO) is the central office which coordinates the support for students with additional learning needs at Royal Holloway.
It seeks to make a large and direct contribution to fostering an inclusive, tolerant and diverse environment in which students are given the opportunity to demonstrate their academic ability to fulfill their potential.
To this end the ESO:

Offers advice and guidance for prospective and current students with educational needs;

Assesses the support requirements of prospective or current students who declare their disability and/ or Specific Learning Difficulty;

Coordinates a range of services to ensure that these students receive adequate support while studying at Royal Holloway, including support for students with dyslexia or other Specific Learning Difficulties;

Provides ongoing assistance to academic staff working with disabled students;

Represents the interests of students with additional needs at policy level and advises the College on disability legislation;

Implements the part of the College Disability Equality Statement Action Plan relating to students.
