MSc Geopolitics & Security

Our exciting and intensive one-year MSc programme, jointly taught by the Departments of Geography and Politics and International Relations, officially launched in September 2012. Come and be part of it.

Innovative, up to date, and grounded in real-life skills and experiences, this programme is designed for both ambitious young graduates and experienced professionals working in commercial or political organisations such as banking, energy, media, think tanks and government, where risk management is critical to strategic policy development.

Both geopolitics and security are defining issues of our era. We, as a global community, face unprecedented challenges relating to environmental catastrophe, resource shortages, economic meltdown, terrorism and infrastructural failure. We need to understand the conditions that make our daily lives vulnerable and develop strategies to manage risk and mitigate the impact of crisis.
