Immigration Information for Staff

Welcome to the College’s immigration web-page. You will find links below to key information and documentation to assist you in undertanding and complying with immigration requirements for staff.

Please note that no member of staff should commence employment before their identity documentation has been provided in person and has been checked/ verified by an Authorising Officer.  Often documentation is checked at interview stage.  Alternatively, new employees will need to present documentation for checking to be completed prior to their first day of employment.  In some cases this may result in an amended start date if it has not been possible for these checks to be completed before a member of staff’s anticipated first day.

For further information, advice or guidance please contact the relevant HR Assistant for your Department. You should be aware of the annual limit for Tier 1 and Tier 2 visa applications and how this may affect you.
