I would personally describe the foundation programme at Royal Holloway as a unique university experience on both an academic, and also a social level.
-
Royal Holloway was different. From the beginning I found every person with whom I corresponded so supportive that it got to the point where I decided that this was the only place I wanted to study.
-
After I joined the Pre-sessional English Language Programme, I had the chance to practise and develop my language. This enhanced my ability.

Welcome
Welcome to the Study Abroad homepage. This scheme has a long standing reputation for quality and excellence. It is designed to allow overseas students to study with us for one of three flexible study options, ranging from 12 to 38 weeks. Over 600 courses are available from our eighteen departments, in subject areas including classical and contemporary English literature, film and television studies, drama and theatre, modern and ancient history, international relations, psychology, biological and environmental sciences, management and economics.
Study Abroad students are guaranteed campus accommodation (subject to receipt of the on-line accommodation application within published deadlines) in single, en suite and networked rooms which are just a few minutes walk from the academic departments. Student support is an important feature and there is a comprehensive range of welfare support available, including a dedicated Study Abroad Advisor in every academic department.
"..For me, one year was like one month. It couldn’t be more precious, it couldn’t be better! I got to know numerous people, had good friends and had many valuable experiences, so I have never had any time to miss my home country. My one year at Royal Holloway will be remembered as the best year of my life.."
(Yeon-jeong Kim, Korea University)
