International Music Feast

Last year's Feast was a great success - this year's will be even better!  Here are the details for the International Music Feast 2013:

7:00 - 11:00 pm on Tuesday, 4th June 2013

Wettons Annexe

Royal Holloway University of London, Egham

The International Music Feast, jointly organized by Royal Holloway International and the Music Department, celebrates the college's cultural diversity through sharing a wonderful array of food, music and theatre. To participate you must bring along food you have prepared or some form of performance. There is no other charge, but you must book in advance.

We warmly invite you to cook food from a cultural tradition familiar to you and to bring it along for others to share and enjoy. Why not cook with a team of friends who also know about these dishes? We already have an exciting array of international music lined up, but welcome additional performance suggestions. (Please contact Henry Stobart h.stobartrhul.ac.uk| if you would like to offer a musical or theatrical contribution). Drinks will be provided and there will be opportunities for dancing. Places are limited so book early!

The International Music Feast is also on Facebook|.

How to get a ticket

The simplest way to get a ticket is to go straight to RHI Reception (IN009, International Bldg.) or the Music Department Office in Wettons Terrace. You will need to let the office staff know what dish you are bringing to the feast.

If you are unable  to go in person to these departmental offices, you can apply for a ticket online here|. Fill out the fields on the Googledocs form and submit. Wait for email confirmation that you have secured a ticket, and then pick up your ticket from RHI Reception (IN009) - or at the International Music Feast itself.

Tickets are allocated on a strictly first come, first served basis.

Who is performing

The programme for the evening will include RHUL’s Balkans Ensemble, Tango Ensemble, Korean Drumming Group, Andean Band, and Sundanese Gamelan as well as an array of other acts from around the world picked for maximum entertainment.
