PC Lab locations around campus

Bedford Library

On Level 1 there are 13 PCs located next to the rear staircase. On Level 2 there are 42 PCs in several locations.

Founder's Library

There are a total of 17 PCs located either side of the Ground Floor West area. A further 9 PCs are located in the Second Floor PC Suite. For details of the Library opening hours please visit the Library opening hours webpage|.

The Bourne Yorkon PC Lab is the largest PC Lab on campus with 92 PCs.

It is a large Portacabin building situated on the right of Bourne Laboratory if you are heading downhill from the Bedford Library. This facility is not available 24 hours.

Directions

From the Bedford Library make your way down the hill so that you go down the flight of steps at the right-hand side of the Bourne Laboratory.

At the second flight of steps there is a Portacabin building to the right which is the Psychology portacabin. Enter the building through the main doors and go straight ahead. The entrance to the lab is a door on the left just past the small photocopying room.

The Computer Centre is located on the main Campus road opposite the Arts building and next door to the School of Management.

The Computer Centre, and Computer Centre Annexe, which is accessed through the Computer Centre, contains 6 PC Labs which all have 24/7 access via a College Card operated door entry system.  

The HITT Lab is used frequently for teaching sessions, so is often busy during the day.

 During evenings and weekends it is available for Computer Science and Physics students to use via a College Card door entry system.

Directions:

Enter the Horton Building through the main doors. Go through the next set of doors in front of you and then turn right. Keep going straight on and then follow the corridor round to the left. Go up a short ramp and then through the set of double doors. Continue up the ramp and go past the set of stairs going downwards. The HITT lab is the left-hand door.

 

The International Building PC labs are situated on the ground floor of the International Building's Left-hand wing, and have 24/7 access via a College Card operated door entry system.

Directions:

Enter the building through the automatic doors on the ground floor in the left wing of the building (looking from the Students Union).

Turn immediately left and go through the double doors and carry on down the corridor.

PC Lab 1 is at the end of the corridor. Immediately prior to this on the right are a set of two doors which take you into either end of the CALL lab.

The Queen’s Annex is the portacabin complex at the back of the Campus between the Queen’s Building and Reid Hall of Residence.

This is probably the best place to find spare PCs in the evening. Both Labs contain 19 PCs and are available 24/7 via a College Card operated door entry system.

Directions:

Enter the building through the main door which is opposite the Reid Hall of Residence.

For QA PC Lab 1 turn right and then after the fire doors follow the corridor round to the left until you reach the PC Lab (Room 113).

For QA PC Lab 2, turn left after the main entrance. Follow the corridor round to the right and keep going straight on until you reach the PC Lab (Room 141).
