Open Access at Royal Holloway
The Academic Board at Royal Holloway formally endorsed an Open Access Publications Policy for the College in December 2009. This Policy requires researchers to submit a version of their research into the College's Institutional Repository, Royal Holloway Research Online, from the 1 September 2010. In submitting an item, researchers are assigning to the College certain non-exclusive rights as outlined in the Royal Holloway deposit licence.
Reporting to Research Committee, the Open Access Publications Policy Advisory Group (OAPPAG) chaired by the Vice Principal (Research, Communications and Enterprise), has been established to oversee the implementation and evolution of the policy.
The Library's Repository team is your first point of contact for any queries about open access, copyright, citations and submitting research outputs to the institutional repository. Publishers and/or copyirght owners may also like to refer to the Institutional Repository Takedown Policy.
You may also like to refer to the special FAQs drawn up by OAPPAG to inform your understanding of and compliance with the policy and the separate page on e-thesis submission.
Please see the page on RCUK Open Access policy for information about the policy and how to comply with it.
