• Oversize indicates the book is an extra large item. In Bedford, oversize items are shelved together on Level 1.
• Bedford Short Loan items including offprints and exam papers are shelved near the entrance next to the helpdesk.

Services available during core opening hours

Library staff maintain and provide guidance for the following facilities:-

• Self service (issues, returns, renewals)
• Photocopying
• Printers
• Membership of the libraries
• IT facilities, including basic assistance with log-on and printing problems
• Assistance in locating materials within the libraries
• Assistance with accessing electronic materials

Outside of core opening hours you are still able to study in the library, use the self-service machines to borrow items, return items, and manage your library account. You also have full access to PCs and printing facilities.

Services available while the Libraries are closed

• Return of library materials (drop-box available at all libraries)
• Access to the Library catalogue, e-resources, LibrarySearch and Music software Sibelius
• Online Depository requests
• Online Inter Library Loan requests
• Web based enquiries via Library mail box: libraryrhul.ac.uk. Enquiries can be made at any time, but responses will only be sent Mon-Fri 9-5pm.
