Letter requests

Certifying letters can be obtained from the Examinations Office, see transcripts and certifying letters|. N.B. the School of Management cannot produce these letters.

How to submit your coursework

All deadlines are 12 noon on the day of your submission.

You should also check Moodle and individual course outlines for course-specific instructions. (A short synopsis of the new method of submitting work can be found here. More detailed information can be found in the  Undergraduate Handbook.)

Marking policy in the School of Management

All coursework is first marked using the Student Assessment Form. It is Department policy to moderate all forms of assessment in the following manner:

  • All Fails must be moderated as well as all borderlines (e.g. 59%) and 10% of the remaining assessments.
  • When assignments are marked by a team the Course Coordinator will set out standards of marking and indicative answers and ensure there is standardisation between markers.

Submission of work

1. ONE hard copy to be submitted to the Administrators in Reception

This should be simply bound by stapling your work at the top left hand corner. Your essays should be in this order (front to back) Student Assessment Form, Student Information Page|, body of work, bibliography.

You need to download, fill in and print out the Student Information Page|. You can get a Student Assessment Form from the administrators on the day of submission.

2. ONE electronic copy submitted via Moodle.

A copy of the instructions in PDF format can be downloaded here Moodle Submission - student guide 2011-12|

THE NEW STUDENT ASSESSMENT FORM MUST HAVE YOUR Paper ID RECEIPT NUMBER ON IT OR IT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AS SUBMITTED.
