An established international reputation

As a management school we aim to apply the insights of social science to the management of private, public and voluntary sector organisations. A shared feature of our research is its international and comparative focus, with a strong historical, sociological and political-economic approach to management issues and activities.

Our researchers

We have over 76 academic staff in a rapidly expanding department, covering the main areas of management. Our faculty includes staff from over 19 countries, and we are committed to teaching and research excellence (our MBA is AMBA accredited).

Staff regularly publish their research in leading international peer-reviewed journals. Our research contributes to theory building, policy and practitioner debates, as well as influencing academics, managers and government policy-makers alike.

Our projects & activities

The School of Management provides a happy, friendly atmosphere and a vibrant research culture. We have a programme of research seminars held throughout the academic year, and have hosted external workshops and conferences on campus.
