Five employees are waiting to be called into their boss's office. They have been preparing for this moment. This is their chance to impress the boss, ensure their job is secure, and who knows, maybe get a promotion. As the plot unfolds and the tension grows, people lose their heads, turn into dogs and even decide to quit. But times are bad...
This fast paced comedy is about hierarchies in the work place and how far we are willing to compromise ourselves in order to 'get ahead'. When you can be downsized faster than you can photocopy, one's spine quickly becomes a very expendable part of one's body.
Ingrid Lausund is a contemporary German playwright and director. ' Bandscheibenvorfall' premiered at the Schauspielhaus Hamburg in 2002.
