Performance and ensembles

The Department offers various opportunities for performance. Within its programme the Symphony Orchestra presents an annual concert in London and the Department also runs the Philharmonic Orchestra, the Sinfonietta (for new music), an Andean Band, a Balkan Ensemble and a Gamelan Orchestra (Gamelan Puloganti). There is a student -run Big Band and various groups come into being depending on the interests of current members of the Department, both students and staff. Choral Music comprises the Chorus, Founder's Choir and Chapel Choir; the Chapel Choir sings regularly at the College and further afield, broadcasts on the BBC, and engages in tours abroad.

The Concert Office is the hub of performance in the Department. From here you can get information and help regarding the concert season, the orchestras and ensembles, chamber days, and instrumental/vocal lessons.
