Royal Holloway, University of London offers instrumental, choral, and organ scholarships, which students compete for prior to entry into the college.

Royal Holloway offers up to six College Scholarships of £300, renewable for up to two years. Instrumental and vocal scholars are guaranteed accommodation in College for the duration of their courses and are expected to play in the College Symphony Orchestra (where applicable) and contribute generally to music and the life of the College. Royal Holloway offers excellent opportunities for singers and organists. Choral Scholars form the College Chapel Choir, an ensemble of usually 22 singers, which undertakes a regular routine of services as well as representing the College further afield through concerts, broadcasts, recordings, and tours. It is not necessary for either Choral or Organ Scholars to read for degrees in Music. Applications will also be considered from postgraduate students.

Applications for scholarships should be received early in the New Year with auditions held at the end of February or beginning of March each year. Further details of scholarship requirements may be found here|.
