Why study Physics at Royal Holloway?
Royal Holloway is a major centre for Physics. The department has an international reputation for its research and an excellent record of teaching, being consistently ranked near the top of the league tables. We pride ourselves on creating a vibrant, friendly and cultured atmosphere, allowing students to progress from the founding concepts of Physics to working side by side with internationally respected scientists. We admit a limited number of students each year, enabling us to maintain a favourable staff-student ratio in a friendly ‘open-door’ department. Our teaching standards are recognised by Institute of Physics accreditation, Teaching Quality Agency assessment and External Examiner scrutiny.
