I came to the UK in 1992, shortly after completing my BA in Political Science at Johns Hopkins University. I continued my studies with an MSc (Econ) in Political Theory at the London School of Economics, before proceeding to a doctoral degree in Ernesto Laclau's Ideology and Discourse Analysis Programme at Essex University. As a postgraduate student I continued to live in London and had teaching positions at LSE, Westminster University, and Goldsmiths College, before securing a full time position as a Tutorial Fellow at LSE from 1998-2000, then a permanent post at the University of Exeter from 2001-2006. I joined the Department of Politics and International Relations at Royal Holloway in September 2006.
