Overview

We support the development and embedding of appropriate technology in the curriculum, including:

  • Pedagogy & Technology - What can e-learning offer the practitioner?
  • MOODLE - RHUL's Virtual Learning Environment; enhances the student experience with information and communication tools such as websites, documents, discussion fora, online assessment and testing, wikis, voting and feedback.
  • Turnitin - Plagiarism Detection Software; Electronic submission, marking and feedback system
  • Wimba Suite - incorporates the use of threaded voice boards, voice-enabled messaging, embedded voice within course pages, as well as live group discussions and debates, all of which increase the interaction and student engagement level of any online course.
  • Clickers / Audience Response Systems - add interactivity to lectures and meetings; capture and share opinion
  • Web 2.0 - advice and support on insitutional and 3rd party tools and technologies such as Wikis, Blogs, Del.ic.ious, Twitter & Facebook. Find out more about Web 2.0 with Common Craft Videos
