Turnitin

Electronic submission of student assignments

Turnitin allows for the setting-up of courses, sections of courses, assignments and the self-registration of students. Assignments can be uploaded by the students for tutors to check for any similarity with millions of other web-based resources.  Tutors can mark assignments online from anywhere in the world, and distribute rich and meaningful feedback at a given time.

From an administrative aspect, the use of Turnitin can:

  • reduce the burdens of receiving, distributing and redistributing papers
  • address the challenges associated with issuing timely marks and feedback
  • help save time, money and physical effort
  • reduce the carbon footprint of the College

The streamlined process of submitting work and receiving invaluable and timely feedback can contribute to a positive student experience.
