Using AI in the clinical diagnostic process of mental health conditions

In this talk I cover work on using AI as a clinical decision support tool for mental health conditions, with a focus on adult ADHD. This work is done collaboratively with a clinical NHS service, and has resulted in developing new technological solutions. Currently, one of the solutions is undergoing evaluation in a clinical setting in the context of an NIHR project. From a computer science perspective, the research is interesting because it has to address various requirements (in terms of accuracy and explainability) and because we are using a hybrid AI approach: a combination of a machine learning and a knowledge-based model.
