Pure and the REF

The College is using data within its research information system Pure to supply information for its REF submission. And departmental REF Leads| are using a special module within Pure to help them manage the submission for their Unit of Assessment.

If you are REF eligible|, you can only use Pure to nominate outputs| for consideration for submission. When you nominate outputs the information is received by the Pure REF module and assessed by your departmental REF Lead.  Only outputs stored in Pure can be nominated. If your outputs profile in Pure needs updating, you should attend to this as soon as possible. The Pure support area of the website provides full advice on Adding publications to Pure|.

Nominating outputs using Pure is quick and easy and once completed, unless you are involved in other aspects of preparing a REF submission, might well be your only involvement in the actual REF submission process. However, it is essential that your outputs profile is complete and up-to-date.
