Women In Research Lecture Series

Has there been a woman in your career who has inspired you?

This is the question that six female academics from Royal Holloway sat down to address. Professors and lecturers from the Departments of Geography, History, Physics, Management and English were interviewed by Professor of Classics Edith Hall about a woman in their field who inspired them.

You can join in by listening to audio podcasts of the lectures, the topics ranging from an unconventional Islamic scholar, to a pioneering palaeontologist who helped shape the debate on climate change, a supportive physicist, a psychologist that reshaped the debate on ethics and an 18th-century intellectual who could bake a pudding as well as translate Greek literature.
