Masterclasses and Summer Schools

A number of departments in the Faculty of Science run masterclasses for 6th Form and FE college students. These may run for one day or involve being resident on campus for a longer period so you can experience a taste of university life too! Many of the departments also hold Taster Courses, which are organised through the University of London. Click here for more information about Taster Courses

Maths and Further Maths Easter School: 7-9 April 2010

Psychology Easter School - 13-16 April 2010
An Easter School designed for students interested in a career in Psychology.

Condensed Matter Masterclass
This class introduces nanotechnology and low temperature research.

Particle Physics Masterclass
An introduction to the work carried out by the department at the Large Hadron Collider, the new particle accelerator based at CERN, near Geneva.

Summer School
A two-day school for year 10 students who are curious to find out more about life and studying at university.
