Students' Union
The Students' Union, quite simply, exists to make your time at university as enjoyable as possible. As a forum for student representation governed entirely by students, it provides a number of services for all Royal Holloway's students.
Support and welfare
Welfare of students is a top priority within the Students' Union. The Student Advice Centre operates an open-door policy, whereby students can confidentially seek help with any academic or welfare issues - anything from advice on student housing, appealing degree results, or information on finance and employment.
Entertainment
The Students' Union try to ensure that the campus is a vibrant place for students to study and live. They coordinate services that help students with their daily lives, such as the non-residential bus service and the weekly market days. They also organise social events in the three SU managed venues on campus, and try to ensure that the packed entertainment programme contains something for all tastes.
Student activities
This department is responsible for clubs, societies|, volunteering and student development. They also support RAG - a dedicated group of students who raise money for different charities in wild and wonderful ways.
Communication
The Students' Union has its own award-winning radio station, Insanity, and its own lifestyle magazine, The Orbital, which keep students well updated on what's happening around the campus.

“I have been an active member of the Students’ Union throughout my time at Royal Holloway. I was the President of the Indian Dance society, and we were successful in hosting several Bhangra nights and staging an annual show. Students of all different cultures wanted to learn Bollywood dancing and participated in the show.”
