Offers and decisions

Once your application has been received by Royal Holloway, it is processed by the Admissions Office who will liaise with the course directors for your chosen course.

They’ll check your application and assess the suitability of your qualifications for your chosen course with course directors.

We aim to make a decision on postgraduate applications within four to six weeks of receiving it. Check the status of your application on Application Status Checker|.

Understanding your offer

You’ll be able to see when a decision has been made on your application using the status checker. Once a decision has been made, you’ll receive an offer letter from us. This will include details of any specific conditions of your offer.

Conditional offers
Offers are usually conditional upon your final grades . If you accept your offer and meet all the conditions stated, your place on the course is guaranteed.

English language conditions

If English isn't your first language and you haven’t yet taken a recognised English language test, it is likely a condition of your offer will relate to your language skills.

When you've already taken an English language test but haven’t quite reached the required marks, you may be eligible to apply for an English language pre-sessional programme|, meaning you won’t have to retake a test.
