You don’t have to pay interest over the period you’re studying. More information on Career Development loans is available on the Direct.gov| website.

While you won’t be able to apply for loans from UK providers, your own government may provide a scholarship scheme to help you study overseas or there may be banks that offer international student loans.

If you’re applying from the USA, you may be eligible for Direct Stafford and PLUS Federal loans| as well as veterans’ benefits| if you’re a veteran of the military. If you’re applying from Canada you may obtain funding| from your government.

Your local British Council office should be able to provide information on scholarship and loan schemes available in your country, as well as general scholarship schemes that you may be eligible for. Further information is available on their website|.
