Over 100 Royal Holloway scholarships and awards worth over £3 million
As a renowned world-class institution, Royal Holloway is committed to supporting and developing the next generation of researchers. We recognise that funding is often an obstacle for talented students, and for this reason we have over 100 Royal Holloway Scholarships worth £3m available to research students starting in 2012. Scholarships take the form of a fee waiver or maintenance award or a combination of both, so if you’re enthusiastic about pursuing a research degree but are concerned about how to finance it, a Royal Holloway Scholarship can lighten the load. Royal Holloway scholarships are listed below and in addition we offer a host of awards from the major UK Research Councils|.
As well as the substantial financial support on offer, Royal Holloway nurtures its research students through tailored programmes of research skills training and active participation in the academic life of the College. Research students at Royal Holloway are both beneficiaries of, and contributors to, our research excellence.
If you need further information about funding opportunities or how Royal Holloway can develop your research career, please don’t hesitate to contact the Director of Graduate Studies| in the relevant academic Department.
It is advisable to submit applications before the end of February.

If you are applying from Canada you may be eligible for loans from your government. Further information can be found on our North American funding page|.
