Tuition fees for years spent abroad or in industry

Home/EU and international students spending a year abroad or a year in industry will pay 15 per cent of the tuition fee for that year.

How to pay the tuition fee

You can pay your fee to Royal Holloway in a number of ways including student loans and paying them yourself.

If you are able to pay your own tuition fees in one amount you may benefit from our Early payment discount|.

Will I pay the UK/EU or international fee?

The UK government sets guidelines on who is eligible to pay the UK/EU rate of fees. Guidance| is produced by the UK Council for International Student Advice (UKCISA) on which students should qualify for the lower fee.

Please note that holding a UK or EU passport does not automatically qualify you for the UK/EU rate of fees,  and that other residence requirements also apply.

When you apply to Royal Holloway, a provisional decision is made on your fee status, based on the information you provide on your application form.  This status will be communicated to you if you are made an offer on your chosen course. You can check this using the Campus Connect status checker|.

If you disagree with the College's assessment, you should complete a fee assessment questionnaire| and return it to the Admissions Office together with supporting documentation.

A trained member of Admissions staff will then re-assess your fee status based on the information on the questionnaire.

A copy of the fee assessment form, and further information on the fee assessment procedure can be found in Admissions Policies and Procedures.|
