Community Action Volunteering
Community Action Volunteering at Royal Holloway, University of London exists to connect, train and support Royal Holloway students and staff seeking to volunteer in the local community.
There are a huge range of projects available to suit all kinds of interests, abilities and levels of commitment. Whether your passion is to work with animals, to teach English to young refugees or sports coaching, Community Action is bound to have something to make your time at Royal Holloway just that little bit more worthwhile and give you the chance to give something back to the community at the same time.
Volunteering is highly valued by the College, and Community Action provides support through hosting the Volunteering Fair, organising Get Involved week, sourcing Christmas & Summer opportunities, running regular transferable skills workshops, managing the Community Action student team and giving recognition through the Volunteering Awards and Royal Holloway Passport points. We partner with various award schemes such as Vinspired, Volunteering England, and the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
During the year you are invited to join a project team as part of a one-off initiative such as Make A Difference Day, the BIG spring clean, and Volunteering Week, where individual student volunteers, and club or society teams get involved in a range of local community projects.
