KT Tunstall Wins Top Pop Accolade


KT Tunstall, a former Royal Holloway student has fought off stiff competition from the likes of Charlotte Church and Kate Bush to win the prestigious prize of Best British Female Solo Artist at the Brit Awards 2006.

KT Tunstall Crowned 'Queen of the Brits', KT Tunstall, the Scottish singer-songwriter, has gone from strength to strength in the last 18 months.

 

After studying Music and Drama at Royal Holloway, KT Tunstall returned to her home town of St Andrews to immerse herself in the local grassroots scene. After appearing on Later…with Jools Holland and gigging extensively KT's career escalated and her album Eye to the Telescope has sold over a million copies.

She was nominated for three awards at the Brits illustrating her wide appeal, including Best British Live Act, Best British Breakthrough Act and Best British Female. Her recent nationwide tour sold out and she is set to do well in America.
