Fellowship funding

We're keen to support strong candidates in applying for Research fellowships. We're interested in attracting applicants with a strong track record with interests that match our research profile.

The Research Excellence Framework 2014 (REF) classified 93% of our research as world leading or internationally excellent in terms of originality, significance and rigour. This places the department in sixth place among UK universities.

The panel commended our submission for the high proportion of early career researchers included, and for our Athena SWAN Silver award in recognition of our support for equality and diversity.

We have a successful track record in mentoring and supporting young researchers and fellows. We aim to continue supporting excellent young researchers and can tailor our support to fit with the requirements of each funding scheme and career aspirations.
