English language support
Royal Holloway International offers a range of in-sessional English language courses and one-to-one consultations to support you if you need a little extra help with your English language skills during your studies.
In-sessional English language courses and one-to one consultations offer extra English language support in a range of areas. Whether you need advice on academic writing, are confused by an area of grammar or simply need some tips on how to best to take notes during lectures, you should take a look at the various courses available to all non-native speakers of English.
The Background to Modern Britain course, offered with an Arts or Social Sciences specialisation, is designed for non-native speakers of English who are studying at Royal Holloway on an undergraduate study abroad programme. As well as helping you improve your English language, it offers you an insight into how Britain became the country it is today.
To provide an entertaining way of learning more about British culture and the English language, Royal Holloway International also run weekly film evenings - a great way to meet new friends and catch a classic British film.
